Platform

Platform.

Q01What is TattooOS?+

The operating system the tattoo industry runs on. One platform for portfolios, bookings, the marketplace, competitions, events, sponsorships, the registry, and the stamp of authenticity. Eight surfaces, no platform tax pretending to be a service.

Q02What's the difference between tattooos.ink and tattooos.skin?+

tattooos.ink is the active platform — auth, app, marketplace, payments. tattooos.skin is the registry — every artist, studio, supplier, model, stamp, innovation, history, library. The registry is permanence; the platform is daily operations.

Q03Is it free?+

Yes for Collectors. Every public surface is visible without an account. Account features unlock at tier signup — Artist $9/mo, Studio $29/mo, Brand $49/mo, Enterprise $99/mo.

Q04Why "Ink" instead of dollars?+

Ink is a stable platform unit. 1 Ink = 1 USD. Top up free, spend free, transfer free between users. Ink simplifies cross-currency settlement and lets bookings, marketplace, sponsorships, bounties, and competition prizes share a common ledger.

For artists

For artists.

Q01What does an Artist account get me?+

Portfolio with stamping, bookings (1% capped at $10), marketplace listings (1–3% fee), sponsorship offers, AI predesign briefs, and registry placement. $9/month, cancel any time.

Q02What is a stamp?+

A cryptographic seal on a finished piece. Once stamped, the piece is on the registry permanently with the hash, the artist, and the client of record. Counterfeits and copy-claims become trivially falsifiable. Stamps don't expire.

Q03Can I move between studios with my work?+

Yes. Your TattooID is yours, not the studio's. Pieces, stamps, ratings, reviews, and lineage move with you when you change shops.

Q04Will TattooOS use my work to train AI models?+

No. The image-generation surface refuses prompts that imitate a named artist — including any registered handle on the platform. Refusals are persisted; the audit trail is public for any artist that suspects misuse.

For collectors

For collectors.

Q01Do I need an account to browse?+

No. The registry, every artist profile, every stamped piece, and every public event page are open. An account is only required to book, message, or buy.

Q02How do I verify a tattoo is authentic?+

Scan the QR or visit tattooos.skin/stamp/<hash>. The registry confirms artist, date, and lineage. Counterfeits don't resolve to a stamp.

Q03Are reviews moderated?+

Yes — but lightly. Verified-buyer flag (auto-set when you have a completed booking with the artist) carries weight in the ranking. Review text is the reviewer's; flagrant abuse can be reported and admin-removed.

For organizers & events

For organizers & events.

Q01What does Convention OS cost?+

Lite $5k/yr or 2% gross — ≤50 artists, ≤2k attendees.
Pro $25k/yr or 1.5% gross — ≤200 artists, ≤10k attendees.
Private $100k+/yr custom — unlimited, white-label, dedicated agents.

Q02Can I have my own subdomain?+

Yes — Convention Private tier ships a white-label subdomain (e.g. mondial.tattooos.ink) with custom theme, dedicated AI agents, and your own brand chrome.

Q03What's bundled with the event surface?+

Application pipeline, floor-plan editor, travel desk (with visa-letter generator), press accreditation, judging calibration, sponsorship inventory, ticketing, and a credit roll for every accepted contributor.

Trust, privacy, payments

Trust, privacy, payments.

Q01How do you handle my data?+

Per the constitution. You own your data, not the platform. Download a JSON export of every record we hold any time from /app/settings/account. Request deletion from the same page — 30-day grace period, then anonymized. See /privacy and /cookies for the full text.

Q02Do you use cross-site advertising trackers?+

No. Essential cookies only — sign-in session and referral attribution. The cookie banner discloses everything.

Q03How do payments work?+

Stripe handles all card data — we never see card numbers. Connect onboarding lives at /api/stripe/connect once you set up payouts; payments settle to your bank in your local currency.

Q04Are passport details encrypted?+

Travel-desk passport name and number are stored in the database for visa-letter generation. Encrypted-at-rest migration (AES-256-GCM) is on the v2 roadmap; until then, access is admin-gated and audit-logged.

Technical & integrations

Technical & integrations.

Q01Is there an API?+

The platform exposes JSON endpoints for stamps, registry resolution, and OAuth flows. Public REST surface is on the roadmap; in the meantime, partners can request a credentialed integration.

Q02Can I cross-post to Instagram / Facebook / TikTok / X?+

Yes — the cross-post composer at /app/share dispatches to every connected platform. Phase 1 (FB, IG, YouTube, Threads) requires admin OAuth setup; Phase 2 (TikTok, X) is gated on TikTok app review and X paid API tier.

Q03Can I run my own instance?+

Self-hosting is not supported in v1. Convention Private tier provides white-label deployment with dedicated infrastructure for organizations needing isolation.

Support & next steps

Support & next steps.

Q01How do I report abuse or harassment?+

File a dispute from /app/disputes/new with the relevant source kind and ID. Disputes route to the Mediator agent and an admin reviewer. Urgent safety matters: email trust@tattooos.ink.

Q02Refund policy?+

File a refund request from /app/refunds/new. Most resolve within 72 hours via wallet rebalance. Disputed cases escalate to admin review.

Q03Where do I see platform status?+

Live computed scorecard at /status.
